Very nice, a brief look at WO100/261 confirms his clasps with service during the Anglo Boer War from the 11th of October 1899 until the 31st of May 1902, certainly does not seem very fair!

Anthony
Tpr Landsberg was one of 57 men under Inspectors W F Fairlie and A G Petley in the Natal Police Field Force who entrained in Pietermaritzburg for Estcourt on 3/11/1899. These men were later divided between General Buller's Bodyguard (under Inspector Fairlie), and the NP FF (under Inspector A G Abraham), which became part of the Composite Regiment of the Mounted Brigade in Buller's army. It was the Colonials of the Composite Regiment (the KRRC Mounted Infantry held back) that ended the Siege of Ladysmith on the afternoon of 28/2/1900. Landsberg might have been with this group of men, although he could as well have been with Buller's Bodyguard at that time.

Brett
