Hi, I am a new member researching family members. Recently after the death of an elderly family member I am now in possession of some medals of a family member, Pte J Irvine 4353, with bars from Wittebergen, Diamond Hill, Johannesburg, Cape Colony. Also Corp J M Irvine 4353 with bars South Africa 1901 and 1902. He was in the 12th Lancers. I would welcome any information anyone could point me towards. I am also researching (but no medals) my grandfather who was sapper J Hall 1st Cheshire engineers 8459 and his brother Pte T Hall 3911 1st bat Border regiment in the Boer war but that is all I know so far for them. I am looking forward to researching these further. Carol :) www.angloboerwar.com/media/kunena/emoticons/smile.png

Service Papers for rank and file members of the British Army for the period in question here, are at Kew, in WO97, WO363 and WO364, most, although certainly not all are available on line, but, you should note that only the digitised folio in WO363 is available, the original papers cannot be searched manually.
Medal Roll's are in WO100, again, almost all, available on line these days, anyway, welcome here and happy searching if you decide to take it further.
