Hello and welcome to the forum.

There is a book called In Memoriam which lists the fallen of the Boer War. There is an entry for Pte Clover, confirming the details, but the place of burial is empty. There is a note to the effect he served in the mounted infantry so this, coupled with the Swaziland location, make make it difficult to find a final resting place.

The South African War Graves Project does not list him. www.southafricawargraves.org/

I will check the papers and see if there is any help there.

As a casualty, there are no service papers available as there were routinely destroyed..

Walter E Clover was the younger brother of my Grandmothers first husband Samuel George Clover who was killed in WW1 at the age of 37.Walter was born in Colchester abt 1883 and was probably only 18 when he died not 20 as shown on his Memorial Card.I am in touch with Sams grandaughters so if anyone thinks they are related to Walter or Sam please let me know.
