I have a double great grandfather who served in the boer war put his picture is in such disarray that I can not tell unit or anything.Could anyone point me in the right direction as to what unit or possible units that were formed from New Brunswick,Canada and sent to south Africa?

The simplest way to ascertain the unit is check the medal rolls on Ancestry.com or the Canadian Archive's own database .

Most of the Canadian troops are listed on this site. I suggest you click on Name Search beneath the logo and then enter the name and see what you discover.

There were no specific units formed in New Brunswick but militia units provided men for most of the units that did serve......
