Help needed tracing James W Taylor, he was born 1873 Lower Broughton, Lancashire, wife ann Worsley came I think from the Church Lads Brigade Salford we think he joined the Manchester Rifle's ? story goes he made LIEUTENANT serving in a POW camp as commandant , not sure Boer or WW1, family have a cigarette tin dated 1908 Any help on this man greatly appreciated,
update no sign of him on the 1901 so more than likely in south africa his wife is on the 1901 census living with her younger sister in the same st as her father,
