Over 25 years I have research Boer War deaths for the British Military personnel and my database has 24984 names all of whom appear on a memorial somewhere in the world. Unfortunately 1245 unknown burial place, 303 unknown where died, 270 no date of death. Of course one reason could be that they did not die, that their names appear on memorials as a courtesy!
I have scoured all sites on the web including Steve Watt’s and many others including several cemeteries in the UK but to no avail. As a last resort, assuming that all those that took part received either a QSA or KSA, that I should look through the medal rolls for QSA & KSA recipients but these appear to be in the UK. Does anyone perhaps know of any sources for these on the web or in SA please.

This will be my last attempt to fill in the blanks after which I will quietly retire; again!
