1691 Pte James Budsworth received clasps "Belmont", "Modder River", "Dreifontein" and "SA1902" on his QSA. The medal roll is endorsed "with 3rd Batn".

Budsworth served with their 3rd Battalion after transfer from their 1st Battalion on the 15th of August 1901 until the 15th of April 1902, when he returned to the 1st Battalion where he had earned his clasps the hard way with Colville's Guards Brigade.

Many thanks, How can I obtain copy documents of his military record and would it have been likely that he was called up for the 1st WW?
