Good day all,

I am trying to get info on a family member.

I have his estate file and found a W.V pension number on it. But i can not find any record with the number. Now i was wondering if the pension number and the veteran number would be the same thing or not?

I also do not know what war he served in.

He was born in Barberton in 1872 and his father was a Scottish immigrant and got married in Natal in 1866.

Any help will be highly appreciated.
