Hi Everyone......

Great photo..... I heard a myth once and I am not sure if it is true......

It is with regards to the hooves on the horse in a statue...... In accordance with the rider or subject of the statue.....

One hoof in the air the rider was wounded in battle
Both front hooves in the air the rider died in battle
All four feet on the ground the rider died of natural causes later.

Has anyone else heard this or have any other ideas?????

Well I just checked the statue of Gen. Sam Houston at the entrance to Herman Park, Houston, Texas and one hoof is in the air. That is another to verify (?) the myth. BP

A great tale; unfortunately not confirmed by the mounted statue of King Edward VII in Sydney, Australia - where the left front hoof of the horse is raised and the others are firmly on terra!
