Hi
I am looking for information about my great grandfather Thomas Francis Murphy who was a Commandant with the Irish Brigade who fought with the Boers. From this website I see he was awarded the DTD medal and was in the Barberton area.

I would appreciate any information about him.

I have found an online copy of this book - just wanted to thank you again - it is a real eye opener for me!!!

Although there is no reference to my great grandfather in the book, it brings to life the times that he lived in and gives me a feel for what life must have been like for him and my great grandmother. My other great grandfather was a commando with the boer and his wife and probably children died in a concentration camp. I will persue his story one day.
