Is it possible, from the attached photos to tell whether my great uncle, Lawrence Doering, was with the ILH or the NLH?
Many thanks

He does not look that old, did he fight in the Anglo Boer War, when was the photo taken, he was certainly a Canadian officer, whilst wearing that particular uniform.

The badges on the uniform and cap are for "The Veterans Guard of Canada"......

He was born in 1838 and I don't think he did anything in the ABW. He did go back to Canada, hence the Canadian uniform

If he was born in 1838 he would have been 102 years old when the Veterans Guard was founded in 1940......
