Hi everyone,

I have been doing research on my grandfather "Douw Gerbrand Steyn" for the past 25 years and have not been very successful.
I have an article that was written about him about 61 years ago in the Sunday Times newspaper that gives the information that he fought in the Boer war under
Generals De Wet and Ben Viljoen. Further research led me to a Boer war web site where they give details of his capture and that he was held at the Fort in Johannesburg
until the end of the war. Ultimately I would like to get hold of any records pertaining to his service/capture in the hope of finding more personal details which could help me
find the rest of his family and delve into what it was like for him during the course of the war.

I hope someone can help me.
