Hi All

Im really excited to have found this website. I am looking for my GGG Grandfather Thomas Parkinson Born on 17th August 1868 in Accrington, Lancashire. Not long after his marriage he left for the boer war, he apparently hadnt seen his wife for sometime and she made a surprise visit but to find he had made a new life by having a new partner or maybe wife and a couple of children. Due to his actions he was banished from the family and they were not allowed to mention his name again according to my nan. hence why we know nothing. Another story was he went to be a missionary which my nan strongly disagrees as she had his war medals that were then stolen in a house burglary late 1970's Unfortunately i cant find nothing on him and as my nana is in her 90th year i would love nothing more than to let her know what happened to her granddad. As i say i have absolutely no idea where to start as there are many a Parkinson to go through.
Thank you Rachel
