Hi David
Let me introduce myself I'm george ,and I have this medal, which is causing me a few issues.
Yes he was awarded QSA and KSA total of 8bars.
Seven of them are on the QSA,but his roll for the QSA only has six and KSA has 2
And I can't find a explanation for this!!!
Can you or anybody help.
Thankyou

George,

I have seen some QSA/KSA paisr in the past where the SA01 clasp can be added to the QSA even though the KSA has both clasps. Th usual explanation for this is that the man changed units during the war, completing his 18 months to gain the KSA (2) and being issued with the SA01 clasp on the QSA by the original unit as he had not completed 18 months in total with them.

This explanation does not hold for C J Fish as he started in the ASC throughout. I am at a loss as to why the clasps are arranged as they are. There is no indication that the KSA was not issued with two clasps.

So technically David that clasp should not be on there,
So what would you say is it a 7 clasp or 6, also does that affect the value!i have his service papers and will look again,to see if there's any thing to explain this ,
It does say entitled to QSA KSA.
Ithanks again
