My father Mr. H W Kinsey was a very active researcher with respect to the Boer War and Bantu Wars of South Africa. I have inherited his library which I have now catalogued and as the collection is much too big for me I would like to sell it to someone who would keep it together and continue using it. The collection also includes some of his research notes. The collection is summarized as follows :-

Boer War (first and second) 240 books etc.
Bantu Wars 100 books etc.
British Military 83 books
SA Military History 64 (mainly bound volumes of journals)

Please contact me should anyone be interested or have suggestions as to whom I should approach.

Hello Pamela.......

Sounds like a fantastic library....... I do not know anyone who would be interested in the full collection..... I was thinking of my own daughter and what she would do with the library that I have...... I can only suggest that you might contact one of the major auction houses and ask them for suggestions but I am sure they would break it up rather than one lot...... I wish you luck......

Hello Pam,
Like your father most of us history enthusiasts and hobby historians collect books for our research and to advance our understanding of military history.
I am also a small time collector and have several veteran forefathers. My distant cuz Peter Digby who is a history and book wizard can be of assistance, he can be contacted in Joburg on cell 082 5062917.
good luck. Evyn
