Thanks for the update Chris. As you say, not unexpected.

I can only imagine there's something buried deep in The National Archives with answer but I don't know where.
As mentioned, I visited there a couple of years back but without success.

Have you seen Nick Metcalfe's website in which he gives a short history of the RGR? I wondered if, as an
experienced researcher, he might be able to point us in the right direction?

I used to be a regular visitor to the Archives but for obvious reasons haven't managed it for a long time now. No idea wheh we might get
down again either.
I had never heard of Nick Metcalfe nor his site. Then again, until I started researching Frederick I had never heard of the Royasl Garrison Regiment
and that was despite 45 years collecting.
I have used his contact form to give him what we already know and ask if he has any suggestions as to where we might look next.
I will of course, let you know the outcome.
