Hi All,

I have just joined this Forum and am a long time member of The British Medal Forum.

My Gt Grandfather served with "B" Squadron, 1 NSWMR, receiving a QSA with CC and OFS clasps.

I have been researching NSW Fire Brigade Firefighters who have served in wars and am hoping to expand some of my knowledge of these Men through the Forum.

Hopefully, I may be able to contribute some assistance to others along the way.

Welcome to the forum! Have you checked Murray to see if that book contains any additional info on your GGF? Or indications where his unit served? Biographical info on Colonial/early Commonwealth unit members can be difficult to obtain - and we often have to go with what we have.

I have looked at Murray and have only recently found out He was invalided back to Australia, through looking at a Trove newspaper online. Something my Grandmother never told me.
