Hello everyone.My name 's Paul and l'm researching my wife's family.Her great grandfather James Arnett joined the 7th Royal Fusiliers (Holborn London)as a recruit in 1889 with attestation no. 765 and regimental no. 7500. I presumed he'd gone to S.A. to fight but I can find no further ref.erence to him.Can anyone suggest a reason for this?

I cannot locate him in the rolls for the Boer War.

Where does the 1901 census suggest he is located?
