Can anyone provide details of 883 Tpr G Martin SAC- A Division ? Where he attested and whether he survived the war in South Africa?
Any history on this fellow is welcomed.

One box on the attestation papers is whether the enlisting man is or has been an apprentice. In the majority of cases, this is answered in the negative.

Presumably this question was asked to elicit information about trades that people know and could be used to the benefit of the unit?
