Hi all,,
I joined this site in the hope of getting any information regarding my great grandfather. Unfortunately I don't have much to go on except that he came from Wales to SA to fight in the war. His surname was Edwards (don't have his name/s ). He married Maria Dorothea Adriana Pienaar (who was born in 1886) and they had 2 kids (son, Victor Heratio Edwards) and sadly was killed in service just before my gran (Jenny Gwendoline Edwards) who was born 20 Dec 1922. I believe he was given a full military funeral service in Grahamstown. Would appreciate any info that can be supplied. Txs Dezanne

Based on Victor's baptism his father's name was Harry Horatio Edwards and he was an Accountant in Standerton:
