While doing some research on the VC. awarded to Capt. W. A. Bloomfield during the first world war in German East Africa,
I came across a mention that he fought on the Boer side during the Boer War. It was stated that he was the only man to have
fought on the Boer side and then later awarded a VC. during the First World War.
Can anyone give any info. on his service with the Boers?
