Steve,

There is a possible match in 69862 Gunner F Grey, Q Battery, RHA.

There are service papers for this man but he is a Frederick:

Grey, Frederick. From Burghfield, Reading, Berkshire

These are available from FindMyPast (at cost).

Good luck!
David

Following your initial response, and now that we have something to go on, I can offer a little assistance in this matter. When the query was first posted, I had a quick scan of my RA's index - and then could see no clear match.
"26033 Gnr. F.Grey, 7Bty., RFA" earned the clasps Cape Colony, Orange Free State, Transvaal, Tugela Heights, Relief of Ladysmith and Laing's Nek on his QSA according to WO100/140. And the KSA with date clasps.
Steve
If you wish to read a digest of the services of 7th Bty, RFA, you may find Stirling's "Our Regiments in South Africa" to be of interest. That is a nice pic of your GGF.
Regards
IL.
