Would anyone have an idea how I can locate the burial place for my ancestor who died Kroonstad Nov 15 1900

Thank you for any help you can provide.

Hi Alan

www.graves-at-eggsa.org/main.php?g2_view...54&g2_serialNumber=2

I think it is the memorial at Bothaville Old Cemetery, Free State.

If I expand the poor quality photo, I think I can see the name Parks, W under Royal Field Artillery, middle of the memorial.

The photo can be found on EGGSA, search under Parks, W and look at Boer Memorial at Bothaville Old Cemetery item No 3

Hello Alan

WJ Parks are buried in the Kroonstad North Cemetery. See the British Memorial, spelling as Parkes.

Hi Alan

His entry in Steve Watt's 'In Memoriam' shows 23469 Gnr. W.J. Parks (sic) wounded at Bothaville 14/11/1900 and died of wounds at Kroonstad 15/11/1900. He's buried in grave number 327 at North Road Cemetery, Kroonstad and his grave is marked by a named metal cross.

Regards

David
