HI, I'm new to the forum. I live in New Zealand but was born and raised in South Africa. I have an ancestors Boer War medals and am keen to find out how he fits into my family tree. Additionally, I am planning to visit the UK next year to go to the places my wife and my families hail from.
I have some questions and am hoping that the forum can help. I will post questions under "Kitcheners Fighting Scouts", "Ashburners Light Horse" and" Dennisons Scouts".

The listing under MAIN MENU shows amongst other things, "Unit information"; which gives a good contemporary account of the various Colonial units you mention as well as some information about medal recipients. You may find that of interest. I am sure that regular members of the Forum would welcome seeing pics of your ancestors' Boer War medals and hear of any supporting documents, etc.
