Found a KSA medal with 4990 Pte Curtis K.R.R.C. could not locate his name. Can anyone please help ?

Walter Curtis earned his KSA serving with the 1st Battalion Kings Royal Rifle Corps as clearly shown in WO100/339, if you find his other medals, you would certainly have a most pleasing group, although, it would be rather strange if his initial, which you do not mention, has been removed from the KSA..

The medal reads 4990 W. Curtis K.R.R.C., (I was not sure it was a W.)
Thank you for your response and information it is greatly appreciated. His medal is now secure. I was also wondering why some names do not appear in the search option provided above.

Well, to be quite honest, I think that the time consuming process of uploading the entire British Army, who had served on campaign in South Africa, during the Anglo Boer War, onto this site, can only be thought of as work in progress for the foreseeable future and therefore, David, must be congratulated before any critique, whatsoever, is even contemplated.

My sincerest apology if my post offended anyone. I was not critiquing the site or any work done. This is my favorite site and I have learned many things from it. I only thought that there may be a reason why some soldiers were not included (Destroyed documents or such) or something I was unaware of (as in this case) again my apology. After serving with the British military my family and I appreciate all the hard work put into the site.

Adding names to the site is certainly a work in progress and, as Frank says, it is going to take a long time before it is complete, if indeed that point can ever be reached. 'More complete' is what I am aiming for.
