My great grandfather served in the Grenadier Guards 5 Company 3rd Battalion - we were very lucky to be reunited with 8 of his letters sent home by a miracle when my brother posted on another forum 10 years ago. We know what medals he was awarded but searches for the KSA and QSA for a few years has not found them. But I’ll keep looking. I would dearly love to get hold of some photos of him - and have searched online for photos of his battalion but again find nothing. I contacted the grenadier guards online and they said no photos are stored. Does anyone know if they took photos of the soldiers individually or their battalions? Or where I could get more info on him whilst he was serving? Thanks Julie
