The above is my grandfather who was incorporated in the SA Police in 1913 in Hankey. Maybe he was in the Cape Mounted Police before that...any information? He married someone called 'Emma" between 1912 and 1915...unknown to me. He joined the Durban Light Infantry and subsequently the SA Heavy Artillery , went to France and took his discharge in Tunbridge Wells Kent, married my grandmother and never returned to SA. Any help would be appreciated.
