Just starting this research on my grandfather R M Stone 1879 -1963

I have his Discharge Certificate and his 1906 Native Rebellion Medal which he received on 16 December 1908
He also worked for Public Works Department in Mairitzburg from approx 1901, involved in the construction of Government House and several bridges He returned to England mid term and returned to Durban on the SS Insizwa in September 1905
Finally returning to Devon 1909
He was part of the mounted escort in the unveiling of the memorial
I also have photographs, including some of the sites of earlier battles, but no details of his service unit, or active record, of which I would appreciate some information
