As a relatively new collector, I would be interested in hearing how people organize their collections, in terms of keeping the medals in good condition and also allowing easy access for examination etc, as well as secure storage when needed. I was thinking of using loose-leaf A4 6-slot plastic envelopes, but what do others do?
Cheers,
Johnathan

Hi Johnathan......

Other than the medals I have framed I normally keep them in a set of 4, old 8 drawer artists side lockable cabinets...... The narrow drawers (6) will hold 6 Ryker dividers the wide will hold 12 dividers each with 12 medals..... Each medal has a folder containing a photo and all the information I can find on each person and kept in a filing cabinet, this is required by my insurance company.....

Hello Mike
Your filing system is marvellous,
I know you have a significant collection of SAC medals, do you categorise them with info of each recipient and their service details?
most interesting.

Hi Evyn.......

Thank you for the kind comment...... Yes I do have a number of SAC but I only really look for Canadian members, my biggest individual unit collection is of Canadian Scouts.....
When I finally dispose of my collection I will be keeping anything that has a Canadian connection......
