Hello members,
I have just become a member and reside in Western Australia.

My great uncle, John Price Halliday was killed at Rhenoster Camp 7th June 1900. He was my mother's, father's older brother.
There is a plaque in St Mary The Virgin Church, Uttoxeter,Staffordshire, England.
I would like to know if there is a marked grave near where his Regiment was attacked and overwhelmed.
Any information or photographs relating to his Regiment would be much appreciated.

Elmarie thank you for your photos. On the plaque in the pic they have John as J.S Halliday however it is definitely J.P Halliday.
His father,John Price Halliday senior also served in the British Army in India.

I often get errors with initials or spelling of surnames on monuments and especially on the iron crosses in South Africa.
