Hi Everyone,

My name is Ronnie and I have joined this site in order to gain further knowledge of The Boer War and for any further information regarding Charles Ward.

I volunteer as an Archivist with West Yorkshire Archives in the UK and came across Charles whilst working on my current project. I have found him, his military career and his life on Civvy Street nothing short of fascinating.

Please feel free to post me any information regarding Charles, whether it is something I know already - that's totally fine.

Thank You - I really appreciate you letting me know about the film footage. Through my research, I had come across this film and it just blew me away. To see Charles and proudly wearing his VC was just amazing.

If it's the case that no-one has ever tried to 'read' the interview, I'll be very surprised and disappointed.
