I'm just seeing if their is any other relatives of and one from the loyal north lancs, my great grandad served in Kimberly

Welcome to the forum. I am thinking that "4368 Pte. E. Billington, LNLR" is your GGD. If so, he certainly had a nice run of awards; QSA/KSA/BWM/VM/TFWM/Defence Medal and KStar.
If the connection is there, you might find that our host's book "Kimberley. Siege Account and Medal Roll" could help you regarding the role of the LNLR in the siege.

Thank you for the reply, I'm not sure if that's his number I can't remember, I've been and seen his medal and remember their being quite a few they were in the museum at fullwood barracks, it's all very interesting, my self and my parents were invited to South Africa a good few years back and had a tour around various places around Kimberly, we stayed in the Kimberly club
