Thank you for accepting me; I thought I'd join to post a picture of my great Grandad's medal for your collection if you want it, which I found amongst my Dad's belongings after he passed away recently
Medal is inscribed with 4115 G FLATT Pte 18/Hrs (G for George)

That is a very nice medal.

Your ggf served in B Squadron of the 18th Hussars. He was invalided home from South Africa on 26 November 1901.

Thank you for that information, interesting. How do you get that sort of info? Ive also got a couple of Great War medals as well, so he must hv gone onto that. Ive got a tin of old coins packed in one of those sth africa 1901 tins with a red front and Queen Victoria on the front, which I need to sort through, some old bullet trench art. Appreciate your response
