It'a great to be researching and discovering a part of my family history that will soon be forgotten unless I get going on this. My dad is the last Dowell to remember my Great Grandfather Joseph Dowell, who served in the Provincial Transvaal Constabulary. I will post my query in the appropriate category as his regemental service number is the same for a number of Dowell record entries with conflicting personal information.
