I was very interested to read an article regarding the 74th yeomanry in which my great uncle Ernest Mclean was mentioned. The article states that a letter of condolence was sent to the family by a captain Humby. Whilst going through some of my deceased dad's items we came across the letter from captain Humby and are delighted to have it in the family.

Excellent news reference the letter you have found from Captain Humby. A family treasure indeed. I have added the link which Mike posted many years ago which mentions your Great Uncle and the letter from Captain Humby.
