Steve - afraid the museum are a bit of the mark with the recipient of the MC

He served in the Imperial Yeomanry during the ABW and his attestation papers and service & medical records can be found on Ancestry under the mis-transcribed name of Harold Conquist Clark. He suffered from a bad bout of dysentery and was initially recommended for discharge but after a diet of plain milk followed by one of beef tea he recovered.

He won his MC in September 1917

Hello Smethwick,
I hadn't delved further into Clark's history and thank you for taking the time to look further.
Probably worth me dropping a line to the museum so that they might correct.
Cheers,
Steve
