I recently acquired these two shoulder titles from Lumsden's Horse.
Lumsden's Horse were formed in 1899 by Lt Col Dugald McTavish Lumsden from men of the Assam Valley Light Horse. Approximately 250 of them left Calcutta in Feb 1900 to deploy in the BW, under Lord Roberts. The Corps were involved in the March to Bloemfontein, the occupation of Johannesburg and Pretoria, and the pursuit of De Wet. They also took part in the Barberton and De Kaap campaigns. They appear to have made a good impression all round with some glowing plaudits.
They were disbanded in 1902, so the Titles were only around for a few years.
Unfortunately they are not an exact pair.

Lovely badges!
The slouch hat badge is as shown (this excample is from the National Army Museum).

The past is not dead. In fact, it's not even past.

That is a beauty. Congrats.
I have seen some people claiming Titles to be Slouch Hat badges. Trying to up the price I believe.
Considering they weren’t around for long, and were quite a small unit, it’s amazing the badges are still around.
