Your man was in the conflict from the start with the 1st Army Corps
His 6 clasp entitlement is impressive.

84442 Driver William Charles Meade was attached to the 2nd Cavalry Brigade and served in P Battery. ( Ammunition Column)

During the Battle of Paardeberg, the 2nd Cavalry Brigade commanded:

6th Dragoon Guards (Carabiners)

2nd Dragoons (Royal Scots Greys)

6th (Inniskilling) Dragoons

New Zealanders

Australians

G and P Batteries, Royal Horse Artillery.

You only live once, but if you do it right, once is enough.
Best regards,
Dave
