Where do I look for any medal entitlement of civilian Alfred T Starman?

He was the servant or batman to Lt Philip Hammond, 4 (Milita) Bn, Norfolk Regt. of 4 Coy, 21st Mounted Infantry. Starman is not on the roll with the 21 MI Norfolks. Hammond's QSA came with 5 clasps, CC, OFS, Transvaal, 01 and 02.

Please can you help me out?

Rob.

Rob - as an officer's servant I think he would have had to be an enllsted soldier. If so, this could be your man on the medal roll of the 2nd Norfolk Battalion:

Above found on Ancestry but on Find My Past can be found attestation papers & service records for 5512 Alfred Starman born in Natal but enlisted in Norwich in January 1900. After service in the ABW served in India, Somaliland (which won him another medal) and then South Africa again before returning to England and being discharged in January 1912. Married in April 1912 in Norfolk, then enlisted in the Tank Corps in 1916, reg no. 201894. Died May 1954 in Fakenham, Norfolk.

Regards, David.
