Hello my name is Dennis Abbott and I live in South Australia, My interest is family history, the reason for joining this forum is to gain or give further information in regard to my great uncle Alfred Percy Abbott. Private Abbott served with the 6 Th West Australian contingent of the light horse infantry. In an incident near Rootebank in South Africa where he was awarded the distinguished conduct medal, it is recorded incorrectly that he died at this time, however this is not so. Dennis Abbott
