I came across your interesting and informative website while researching my family history.

I am afraid that I know little about the Boer War, but I believe one of my relations fought and died during the conflict. His name is Arthur Waterfield, No. 3484, a Private in the 2nd Dragoons, Royal Scots Greys. He was awarded the QSA medal, but I know little else about his military service.

I think he died before March 1901, as his wife is listed as ‘widow’ in the 1901 census. I would be very grateful for any help in finding out what happened to Arthur.

Waterfield, A., 3484, Private, 2nd Dragoons, Cape Colony, OFS, Transvaal.

Sorry I cannot see him on the casualty list.....

Mike has given you all the information available I am afraid.
Arthur is listed on Find My Past in the Boer War records with the clasps as stated by Mike, but no other info is available there.
