I collect and research medals awarded to Jewish recipients
I am compiling data for a book about Jews who served during the Boer War.
I have over 3300 names and biographical data for Jews serving with the British and Colonials and approx. 250 for those who served with the Boer forces. so any further info would be appreciated.
In my collection I have Volunteers Decoration awarded to Colonel Sir David Harris (ex Tamplin) this is his only known surving medal as all others were lost in a fire, although a replacement group was issued which is believed was split between the family shortly after his death. I will post a full write up at a latter stage.
