Hi New member here, nice site, how do i find all the photos?

I'm interested in the middlesex regiment as my father gave me a bag full of his gandfathers stuff and it turns out he was in the Boer war. I have some interesting documents and picture(s) to scan in so will post more later.

I didnt see him listed under his surname (William.H king) on the site so it would be nice to get him added.

My father still has the medals but i have a list of the clasps that are on there.

he was definitley at Spion Kop and the relief of ladysmith and i look forward to learning more about the middlesex regiments involvement in those battles.

Hello All,

I am a regular contributor to the BMF and have a passion for the Cape Mounted Police before, during and after the Boer war. I have contributed some info on David's link to the Cape Police on this site and am always interested to hear from members who have a similar interest.

As a side line I also collect and research WW2 medal groups to South Africans.

Regards

Adrian

Hi there,
Just thought I'd tell you about my recent visit to Spioen Kop battle site in Natal, it's quite a spectacular mountain that the British forces had to clamber up on the most difficult southern slope, Boers were encamped on the flatter land on the northern side, a most fantastic view in all directions from the summit. War graves are in well kept condition and the site well worth a visit. :) regards EvynT

Corver,

The pictures are spread all across the site. I usually try to link them to an appropriate page but there are some pages consisting of only images.

The Middlesex Regiment can be found here: www.angloboerwar.com/imperial-units/573-middlesex-regiment

I don't currently have any images of the regiment :(

David
