Good morning.
A few days ago I was clearing out a box from my garage and in it found two diaries clearly made during the Boer War - one by my father's adoptive father - the other one so far unestablished but clearly someone different as they on occasions cover the same dates. They are quite hard reading - written in pencil, unfamiliar place names, difficult handwriting and little punctuation. I am starting to transcribe them but am having some difficulty. Is this the right place to put any queries in the hope someone might be able to help?
