Hallo I am new to this site. I am from Springbok Namaqualand South Africa. I have visited many Boer War sites in Namaqualand, but books and publications of the Boer War in Namaqualand are very rare. I am not English speaking, so excuse my grammar. All I have found published about Namaqualand is memoirs by General Smuts and Denys Reitz. If there is any more information out there, publications and maps I would be glad if it could be added to this site.

Thank you.

Welcome to the forum......

There is a book that you might like to find:

O'OKIEP, THE DEFENCE AND RELIEF OD O'OKIEP 4 APRIL-4 MAY, 1902, by Brian L. Kieran, Bourne Press, 1995, ISBN 976-8136-31-6.

Thanks, but forgot to mention I have purchaged the book and have read it. Currently many old place names were replaced in Namaqualand and that is why I am searching for an old detail map of Namaqualand.
