TOPIC:

My main reason for joining this site is genealogical. I have, in the course of many years of research into mine and my late husband's family trees, unearthed a good few ancestors who fought in the Boer War, on both the British and South African sides, or who were involved in it as unwilling bystanders. I'd like to start padding out the basic info I have on each of them so that I can paint a fuller picture of their part in events, and by doing that, keep their memory alive. I'm hoping to build on and improve my knowledge of the Boer War, so if I ask stupid questions, be patient with me!!
