Hello everyone, I would like to know, when a ship got to S.A. on June 11, 1900. The men would not have been fighting that same day they land. It would have taken the soldiers time to get to wherever they were needed in S.A. right? I was trying to pin point a little bit if possible, of where my Frank West was fighting.

Also, I have my Frank West being treated by a doctor at Naauwpoort on the 17th Dec. 1902. Frank states that he got ill at Mafeking and that the disease originated in March of 1902. The doctor believes him as he said the patient had been on duty the greater part of the illness.

Naauwpoort is near Mafeking, But nowhere in the writings on this site, or on the 2nd Bedfordshire web site, do I see them going to Mafeking. Is it possible the 2nd Bedfordshires went and relieved the soldiers that were in the relief of Mafeking? As that was in May 17, 1900 and Frank had landed on Jun 11, 1900. So it is possible he was there?.

IT IS allright now everyone, I have my answer to my MAFEKING question. Thank you everyone for all your help.

Thank you for your time and help.

Thank you Justin for your help. Is rather neat to see this in book form.
