This is my first attempt at trying to find out about my Great Uncle above who ran off age 15 to join the army and went to the Boer War as a Boy Bugler. He had the Queen's Medal with Clasp.

I can find nothing about Boy Buglers on this site. Am I looking for the wrong thing and how can I find out more about his rank etc. I know that by Spring of 1901 he was back in Durham.

He immigrated to Canada in 1909 and became a distinguished minister of the Anglican Church and the Chaplain of the RCMP.
