I have tried to Google Map it but without luck, definately in the West Coast region suspect around Kamieskroon somewhere as that is where the monument is, maybe Henk can shed more light on this or Brett as he worked in this area for a number of years?

I think that this is the place.

See link.

Poort means pass i think, so therefore Bleskoppoort = the pass around or close too Bleskop??

Yip seems to be the place, a Poort is actually a gap between hills. "Bleskop" translated into the Queens English is "Baldhead", so it can be translated as The Battle of Baldhead Gap! :S

Adrian,

I have been scratching my head to find the place or any mention of it, well, anywhere.

The best I have found is this vague report from the week on the engagement.
