Hi!

I am interested because I`m the present owner of his service revolver"Webley Wilkinson model 1892" that he was wearing the day a German sniper shot him 21oct 1914.Captain Mahony participated in the Boer war and got a medal.I am located in Sweden and collect Webley revolvers caliber .455.

Hello and welcome,
Frederick Henry Mahoney like so many of his brother officers lost his life in the Great War, I assume whilst not carrying the weapon you mention, a very fine regiment, they were superb in 1914 and along with the Manchester's very local to me, Webley's are a nice thing to collect, interestingly, John Tolkien's Webley & Scott will go on display in a local museum's exhibition here in the near future.
